YOU ARE WHAT YOUR FOOD ATE
At Earthly, we know that health starts in the soil. Soil isn’t just dirt – it’s a living ecosystem that nourishes plants, animals and people. Industrial food production has disrupted this delicate balance, destroying soil biology, depleting nutrients & often transferring toxins to humans. These plants and animals are compromised & thereby contribute to the epidemic of human disease. Regenerative farming changes that by restoring soil balance. These restoration practices lend to biologically rich soil which grows the nutrient dense food our bodies are needing and expecting.
Human health begins beneath our feet.
-
Healthy Soil
Soil is a complex environment. In high-functioning conditions, it maintains a balance of moisture, organic material and minerals, creating an ecosystem where soil microbes thrive. These microbes perform intricate processes that enhance nutrient availability, water retention, and carbon sequestration to support a plant’s full potential in growth, immunity, nutrient density and reproduction. Soil which has been degraded through conventional practices has no ecosystem & cannot support this microbial life.
-
Healthy Plants
With healthy soil, plants can fully express their genetic potential. In a thriving ecosystem, plants exist within a complex relationship with the sun, atmosphere, soil, insects, and animals—each playing a role in nutrient cycling and resilience. When grown in biologically active, regenerative systems, plants develop higher nutrient density, often far surpassing those grown conventionally. A truly healthy plant is naturally disease and pest resistant, requiring no synthetic inputs to thrive. Plants grown conventionally may appear robust but will typically have deficiencies in nutrients and immunity.
-
Healthy Animals
Livestock raised in conditions with healthy soil & plants will have strong immune systems, optimal growth, and overall vitality. These animals experience very little disease and often have significantly higher nutrient profiles than their conventionally raised counterparts. Regeneratively managed livestock also play an important role in building soil health, sequestering carbon, and creating a more sustainable food system. A thriving eco system cannot function to its fullest without animals.
-
Healthy Humans
As with plants and animals, when we consume these foods which come from a chain of natural and complex processes, we too will have improved physical and mental health. Industrialized food production confuses our bodies by altering nutrient bioavailability, gut signaling, and metabolic responses. This disruption contributes to chronic disease, inflammation, and neurological disorders.
